Lunite Legends Docs

The vision, the gameplay, and the $LUNITE economy โ€” in plain language.

Version 1.0 ยท Living document, subject to change

1. Overview

Lunite Legends is a turn-based, card-driven creature battler. Players collect Lunites โ€” moon-born creatures across five classes โ€” build a team of three, and battle through an Adventure campaign and real-time ranked PvP.

The game is free to play. The on-chain layer (the $LUNITE token, and later NFTs) is an optional layer for invested players โ€” never a paywall. Anyone can start with free starter Lunites.

2. Gameplay

Battles are fought by queueing ability cards that cost energy, then resolving them in speed order โ€” the fastest Lunite acts first. Positioning (front / mid / back) and a rock-paper-scissors class-advantage wheel reward smart team-building.

Modes & progression

  • Adventure: escalating stages with unique boss mechanics โ€” Regenerate, Enrage, and Lifesteal.
  • Ranked PvP Arena: real-time lockstep battles, a rank ladder, and a global leaderboard.
  • Progression: upgrade Lunites with coins, daily rewards, quests, cosmetics, and a profile hub.

3. The $LUNITE Token

$LUNITE is a fixed-supply SPL token on Solana โ€” utility-first, with no inflationary faucet. Its primary role is hold-to-play: holding $LUNITE unlocks higher ranked Arena tiers, creating real demand without taxing every match.

  • Hold to access ranked tiers (Bronze โ†’ Diamond).
  • Sinks: staked-tournament entries and (later) NFT breeding costs that burn tokens.
  • No coins-to-token conversion โ€” soft currency stays in-game, hard currency stays scarce.

4. Earning & Economy

Two currencies keep the economy healthy: soft Coins (earned by playing; spent on upgrades & cosmetics โ€” a closed loop) and the hard $LUNITE token (bought, held, and won through competition).

Real-token earning is funded by competition, not an unsustainable treasury faucet:

  • Seasonal prize pools distributed to top-ranked players.
  • Staked matches / tournaments โ€” players ante in, the winner takes the pot.
  • Payouts are server-verified and escrowed โ€” never decided by a player's client.

5. Lunite NFTs Phase 3

Lunites will become tradable NFTs with on-chain traits and rarity โ€” own, collect, and trade them on Solana marketplaces.

NFTs grant utility (collection value, staking, scholarships/rentals), while free starter Lunites remain so new players are never gated behind a purchase.

6. Breeding Phase 4

Two Lunite NFTs can be bred into a unique offspring that inherits genes from both parents. Breeding is a deliberate token sink, not a money printer:

  • Costs (and partially burns) $LUNITE per breed.
  • Capped breed counts + escalating cost so the supply of Lunites stays scarce.
  • Designed to avoid the oversupply that broke earlier breed-to-earn games.

7. Fair Play & Security

Ranked results that affect rewards are server-authoritative, and any real-token wagering is protected by escrow with a verified winner โ€” so the game cannot be cheated to drain funds. On-chain features are tested on devnet before touching mainnet.

8. Roadmap

  • Phase 1 โ€” The Game: live and playable (Adventure, ranked PvP, leaderboard, PWA).
  • Phase 2 โ€” Token Economy: hold-to-play, seasonal pools, staked play.
  • Phase 3 โ€” Lunite NFTs: tradable, ownable creatures.
  • Phase 4 โ€” Breeding: gene inheritance with scarce supply.
  • Phase 5 โ€” Beyond: guilds, scholarships, esports, new modes.
